About the gay speed dating event
(Times are general guidelines)
7pm... Registration will begin. Coming early allows us to process your registration and give you a quick run down of whats going to happen. It also allows you time to have a quick chat with other people who are taking part, have a drink and some complimentary snacks.
You will be given a score card where you write down the names of people you meet and their number and whether you think you match with them, are friends or no match at all.
You will also be given a name tag, this helps remembering peoples names as you will be meeting a lot of people in one evening.
8pm... Speed dating begins. Early arrivals get to sit at the tables while later arrivals will be the ones who move to next table every 3 minutes. You have 3 minutes to show your personality to your date and to get to know them. Don't forget to mark your card!
The bell will ring every 3-4 minutes, at which time, promptly move to your next date.
9pm...short recess for snacks and light refreshments!
10pm...The dating should be over at this time and you should have decided who you would like to spend more time with, either as a friend or a prospect for dating further. The bar will continue to stay open afterwards where you can socialize with the people you have dated or talk to anyone you may not have had the chance to date.
Also don't forget about the blind date scenario where you can win a dinner voucher for Soho/Brasserie66. Your host will explain in detail but basically you must chat to at least 3 people that you havent dated, this is because you will not date everybody at the event and you may like one person in your group, ask your host for more details or drop me a mail.
Next 2 days...You will receive an email from or (ensure you check junk mail folders incase it goes there) and this email will detail who you selected as a match and it will tell you if they felt the same and their contact info.
Match + Match = Perfect
Match + No = No Match
No + No = Mutual No Match
It is then up to you to email your matches and get to know them a bit more. Remember, if you don't meet your perfect match at your first event, there's always another group of guys/gals at the next event ready to make new friends. If you haven't found anyone at an event and decided that you don't want to mark anyone on your card...then come to another event for FREE!
And Last but not least...relax...have fun...see how many people you can get to know!
